1. Danny Brown

Sunday, Loud And Quiet stage, 19:00

The Detroit rapper has hit the busiest stage of his career so far, building on the success of critically acclaimed 2011 album XXX by touring internationally and working with artists as varied as El-P and Purity Ring. Ready to release new album Old, Brown is taking his thrilling live show to UK shores, where his unique flow and addictive beats looks set to make for a memorable performance.

2. Eagulls

Friday, You Need To Hear This stage, 21:00

Unless you're at a ritual sacrifice or department store Christmas sale, chances are that a group of people visiting a spectacle will be pretty civilised in 2013. Not so for Eagulls. The Leeds quintet play a mash up of hardcore punk and indie - think Deep Wound and The Jesus and Mary Chain - that can only really be categorised under 'alternative.' As taunting towards their crowd as the music press attempting to drag them into the mainstream, at Beacons it'll be a good old fashioned punk show on the cards.

3.David Rodigan MBE

Sunday, The Social stage, 19:30

Having lived through the birth of DJ'ing and the mainstream upsurge of reggae, to earning an MBE and witnessing the genre's influence on a range of other genres, David Rodigan is nothing short of a legend. Still relevant in the current day - as with his protest resignation from Kiss FM over reggae's sidelining in their schedule – to being name checked by today's hottest acts, Rodigan looks set to bring classic tunes and the freshest slices to Beacons, ready to show other acts how it's done.

4. Bondax

Saturday, Resident Advisor stage, 18:00

With more than a few baby faces in the current crop of UK electronic artists, Bondax are two of the brightest hopes. A layman's comparison would be to a downtempo Disclosure, but the Lancaster pair take their experimentation far further than Guy and Howard. Taking off somewhere after chillwave atrophied, the duo's relaxed tunes are monuments to music so strong you can lean your pilled-up head on them. Or listen to repeatedly to pick up myriad influences, it's your festival after all.

5. Only Real

Friday, You Need To Hear This stage, 19:00

Ginger solo Londoner with a penchant for bucket hats and diffuse tunes? Nope, not King Krule but Only Real. The West Londoner has grown a bubble of hype over his select cuts, ranging from the new wavey 'Blood On The Carpet' or the 50's rock n' roll overtones of 'Cadillac Girl.' With anticipation set for new EP Days In The City, it's time to check out the spawn of Jamie T.'s cross-genre collaboration on a Friday night.
