Neutral Territory Records

(Corey Auger)

What are your top five albums that were released in 2009? (In order 1-5)

  1. Nothington - Roads, Bridges and Ruins

  2. Title Fight - The Last Thing You Forget

  3. Converge - Axe to Fall

  4. Banner Pilot - Collasper

  5. Revenge - Revenge

What band did you discover in 2009 (can be a brand new band or an older band) that had an impact on your life? What made them significant?

The number one record of the year for me, Nothington. That album is one of the best punk albums that came out in a few years. Losing my job and my apartment, album kept me going.

How will you remember 2009? (In terms of music)

Coming and Goings. A lot of band in my area (Mass/RI) broke up or remain not very active. The scene thinned out a little bit around me, we lost more venues. A ton of awesome music came out for toward the end of the year.

2009 was a huge year for reunions. What reunion excited you the most? What band that has not reunited would you love to see play/record most in 2010?

The Get Up Kids/Suicide File. Even tie. I got to see The Suicide File reunion a few years back in Chicago, but getting to see them twice in two nights was unreal. More so the first night being in Boston was awesome. Get Up Kids are just one of the those bands that bring it every show and I'm glad they are going to be put out a new album.

What can we look forward to from you in 2010?

A more focused 2010 for Neutral Territory Records. We were a little all over the map last year, having our hands in a few things at once. We wanted to focus on one thing at a time this year. Plenty of great releases coming up from The Stereo State, Maker , Pitfall and Roam Alone.

What three records are you looking forward to most in 2010?

I don't even know what's coming out. I'll go ahead and guess: The Get Up Kids, The Hope Conspiracy, and Off with Their Heads.
