SPB: What was the last live show you played and what stands out about it from your current, COVID-era perspective?

Biznaga: Our last show was in Miranda de Ebro, in the north of Spain, in a quite big and nice venue called "La fábrica de tornillos", a show that could happen thanks to the support of the local government. Last december 26th we played there for 100 people, which was the maximum legal capacity. Although we feel grateful for having the opportunity to do some gigs, the look and feel of a distanced audience, with masks and no chance to shout, pogo or whatever it's still weird, abnormal. We'll keep doing our best no matter what the circumstances are, people deserve live shows and we deserve playing for them.

Gran Pantalla
Slovenly (2020)

Gran Pantalla is the third LP from Spain’s Biznaga. It’s predecessor, Sentido Del Espectáculo, was quite successful in Spain and numero tres comes with the lofty promise in the press material as “If Joe Strummer were actually from Granada, The Clash would have sounded something like this.” It’s also the band’s first record featuring collaborative songwriting, instead of each writer … Read more
