2007: Year Of Reunions?

Posted in Bands on January 29, 2007

By now you've already heard about Rage Against The Machine's upcoming reunion show, but have you heard about Led Zeppelin's or The Police's? The Led Zeppelin reunion is still in its early stages but plans seem to suggest that deceased drummer John Bonham will be replaced with his son, Jason. The rest of the original rockers will be reunited onstage for the first time in 22 years, if we don't count vocalist Robert Plant and guitar virtuoso Jimmy Page, who have played shows together in the 90s. Most recently announced is the reunion of The Police, however, which had initially caused speculation for them appearing at Coachella, where, of course, RATM will be making their 2007 debut. Sources suggest that Sting and the boys are rehearsing and it seems they'll be opening the Grammys next month. Stay tuned for more reunion news at SPB!
