The Dollheads pay tribute

Posted in Bands on December 14, 2024

Fat Wreck Chords has just released a 7" from teen punk band The Dollheads, which has a related new video out today --  "Teenage Runaway." The song is a tribute to Joan Jett, with NOFX's Fat Mike making a video cameo.

The band says:

During the COVID quarantine, we binged Freaks and Geeks over and over again. Its opening song, Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation," had us so obsessed that we'd never skip the intro. Around this time, our band started writing music, drawing inspiration from musicians like Joan Jett and the Ramones to dive into punk. "Teenage Runaway" is the perfect tribute to the woman who inspired us and started it all: Joan Jett.

The band will play at Doll Fest in Berkeley, CA, on March 1-2, 2025, among other scheduled shows in the western US and at Rebellion Music Festival in Blackpool, UIK in August.
