Rival Schools frontman Walter Schreifels recently spoke with Rocksound about the band's reunion, tour, and new album. Some of the choice quotes include:
We officially never broke up, we just agreed to pick this up again at a future date, we have been waiting for the right time, we were talking about it and all of a sudden we had a really great tour booked and it just seemed like the time to do it properly.
And...
We are writing but right now we are just making sure we can play the old songs! Playing the old stuff is us getting our legs back as a band but we want to get a new record together, get new material and see how we can gel it with the old. A lot of the fun will come when we get to make that together.’

We have got this June tour and we still want to play some shows in the States. Especially if we are writing new songs it would be good to live in them a little onstage before we come to record anything. Whether the album is out first part of the year or spring we are not yet sure but we want to play out with new material to test it all out so expect a few more dates to be announced.
