Above this Fire recently parted ways with long-time drummer Dave Anderson. Joining the band in his place will be former Disengage drummer Jonathan Morgan. The band issued the following statement concerning the change:
For those wondering about the future of Above This Fire, we are still very much a band, and are more active than ever. We would like to welcome Jonathan Morgan of Disengage fame to the band as our new drummer. Jon is an extremely talented musician, and we are beyond excited for him to be a part of the band. We have been rehearsing with him for the past few weeks, working on old songs and writing new material as well. The morale of the band is incredible, and we are all eager to get out there with this new lineup and play shows.
Above this Fire last released Last Ones in 2008.
