Pineid will release its debut album on August 26, but the members have been making their presence known for much longer than your typical new band.
The Los Angeles, CA based band will release Blue Doom, a prog rock concept album about "the things that cause us to make drastic changes in our lives," explains producer Toshi Kasai (Melvins, Tool, more). The lineup features a variety of accomplished musicians: guitarist Jamie Kime (The Zappa Band, Dr. John, Zappa Plays Zappa), bassist Pete Griffin (Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, Dethklok, Dr. John, Zappa Plays Zappa), drummer James Pope (Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra, The Gentlemen of Leisure) and vocalist/guitarist Jeff Sites (Butcher).
The band shared its lead single last week, "The Tick." The album will release on cd and digital formats courtesy of Sympathy Records with vinyl to come later.
