Members of Answering Machine, Choke Up, and Ellen and the Degenerates have formed indie-punk band Sadlands. The Brooklyn/Queens quartet pulls from a range of influences that includes alternative, folk, and pop-punk that features duel vocals and songwriting by Samantha Campanile and Jess Lane.
Recently, Sadlands spent some time in Asbury Park to track their self-titled debut EP with Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls. The lead single from the EP is titled "Flowers" and is currently available on all digital platforms and their bandcamp. It's about struggling to heal old wounds and absolutely soars over the course of 3 minutes. Sadlands' self-titled EP will be released on Friday, September 29th.
