Minus The Bear In The Studio

Posted in Bands on January 15, 2007

Minus the Bear have posted an update on their website concerning the recording of their new full-length, the follow-up to 2005's Menos el Oso. The band has taken fourteen songs, with plans of writing a few more, into the studio with producer Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Isis). Frontman Jake Snider had this to say about the album:
We're substantially done with writing and the music sounds very organic to me. We've been on this intense musical journey the past few months and this new record is going to be expansive... but catchy. Everything is bigger and seems, at least to me, more dramatic than the last record.
The album, titled Planet of Ice, is slated for a Summer release via Suicide Squeeze Records. The band will also be releasing Interpretaciones Del Oso, an album of remixes of their previous effort on February 20th.
