Victory Record has signed South Carolina's Islander to the label. The band, compared to Deftones and Rage Against the Machine, will release an EP, titled Pains, for their new home on Oct. 1.
Maruta joins Relapse

Florida's Maruta have announced signing to Relapse Records. The band, who last released Forward into Regression in 2011 on Willowtip, will begin recording in early 2014 for their new label's debut. The record will be recorded by Scott Hull of Pig Destroyer and Agoraphobic Nosebleed. Read more

Swedish death metal band Entombed has inked a worldwide deal with Century Media. The label will release a new album as soon as October of this year, Back the the Front, their 10th studio release. Entombed first formed in 1987 under the name Nihilist. Read more
