Placebo has returned from the shadows with the band's first new single in five years, "Beautiful James," which the band shared earlier this week as they have now wrapped up work on what will be their eighth full-length album. The long-running band celebrated its twentieth anniversary back in 2016 with the release of a 6-song EP A Place For Us To Dream, followed by touring (catch a live review of the band in Australia).
“If the song serves to irritate the squares and the uptight, so gleefully be it. But it remains imperative for me that each listener discovers their own personal story within it - I really don’t want to tell you how to feel," Brian Molko offers in a vague statement about the band's new material.
Specific news about the new album is still to be announced. While you're at it, enjoy this archival interview from a young SPB.
