Atheist to release new album in November

Posted by Jon E. on September 8, 2010

Official press release: On November 9th, 2010, after 17 years the progressive aggressive forefathers reemerge more massive than ever. Atheist delivers "Jupiter," a landmark return to earth of supersonically gargantuan proportions. In the late 80's and early 90's, this band, alongside fellow Floridians Death and Cynic, handcrafted the sub-genre that spawned bands such as Meshuggah, Between The Buried And Me, and Mudvayne. Atheist once again shows technical metal who's boss. This highly anticipated album is full of dizzying twists and turns. A collection of songs easily as brutal, if not more so, than 1991's "Unquestionable Presence" which is considered by many to be the alpha album of this extreme style. "Jupiter" contains some of singer/co-founding member Kelly Shaefer's most thought provoking and controversial material to date. Jason Suecof (Trivium, Job For A Cowboy) makes the record sound like the year 2015 is tearing its angry head out of your speakers to steal your soul! Simply put, where "Jupiter" leads, all others will surely follow.
