Premiering here, we’ve got a pair of tracks from a split release featuring Boston groups Greylock and BEDTIMEMAGIC. The press release states: “"The writing on the wall shouts: "You won't find anything so delicious, so easy, and so much fun as the wonderful "SPLIT" with Boston's Greylock and BEDTIMEMAGIC! Think of it. In just about 24 minutes you turn out a great big batch of these sludgy, loud, abrasive wonders. Just a double dose of two-piece bands - that's the trick. And presto...oodles of luscious trash rock and doom - that's the treat! Whip out a batch for the family tonight and join in the fun!"
Perhaps we could all use some fun right now. Listening to this album, I’m taken back to a time a while ago when I was exchanging doom and stoner albums with a guy I was working with at a vegetarian restaurant. This release sounds like something we would’ve been listening to. The first half of the album is kinda doomy, sorta stoner. The other side of the split is raw and noisy with weird sound samples thrown in for good measure. Me? I, these days, kinda prefer the second half. Decide for yourself.
