Steve Conte, who has also played guitar with New York Dolls and Michael Monroe, will release his first solo album in five years on Nov. 5, 2021. The new record is titled Bronx Cheer and releases via Wicked Cool Records.
The core band on the album includes Conte on guitar and vocals, plus his brother John Conte on bass (Southside Johnny & The Jukes, David Bowie, Ian Hunter), and Charley Drayton (Keith Richards, Iggy Pop, The Replacements) on drums. Clem Burke (Blondie), Andy Rourke (The Smiths) and Jesse Malin make guest appearances.
