Former Black Flag (1984-1986) and dos bassist Kira has a new, self-titled solo record out on Oct. 189 via Kitten Robot Records.
While known for her work with the legendary So Cal punk scene, this solo effort follows a new path of dark minimalism some three and a half decades later.
With Black Flag, she appears on two live recordings, including "Family Man" and "Slip It In," and on three albums and an EP in dos, which formed with Mike Watt. Kira has also played with Waxx, the Visitors, Geza X and the Mommymen, the Monsters, Sexsick, and Twisted Roots, and has worked as a dialog editor in film in recent years, including receiving two Emmys. “I have been part of the sound teams for many projects I am proud of: Mad Max: Fury Road, Joker, A Star is Born (2018), and Game of Thrones Season 2 to name a few," she says in a press statement.
