On April 15, Spanish Love Songs will release a new two-disc album of reimaged tracks from their 2020 album, Brave Faces Everyone. The new album is to be titled Brave Faces Etc. and also releases via Pure Noise Records.

"Right before the one year anniversary of the album, we decided we wanted to revisit the songs the same way we had been reimagining our previous albums on our Patreon community." singer Dylan Slocum explains. "I don’t know that any of us has ever been happy with a finished album we’ve released, so this was our chance to try out some of things we didn’t get to do on the original, whether due to budget, running out of time, etc. At the same time, we saw it as a chance to challenge ourselves a bit musically, and expand the sound of the band to better reflect where we’re all at in terms of songwriting and production."

The reworked new songs come from three separate home studios across three time zones, exemplifying band life in COVID times.

Spanish Love songs are touring in support of The Wonder Years through February and March.

In truth, the band doesn’t really use choruses much, but that’s not really the point here. Their sound is rooted in melodic and emotional midtempo … Read more

I’ve known of Spanish Love Songs for a few years and I’ve liked what I heard in passing without diving in. When I saw them at Fest 18 last year and saw the crowd response, it confirmed it was time to pay closer attention. The band is familiar in style, something like The Gaslight Anthem or The Menzingers, with touches … Read more
