Following last year's EP, Dreamtigers is back with a new full-length album called Ellapsis, out today via Skeletal Lightning (and mixed by Will Yip).
Dreamtigers is an alt rock band featuring members of Defeater, Caspian, The Amity Affliction, and Balmorhea, whose sound is rooted in heavy influenced music but also more spatial sounds like shoegaze and emo.
“Ellapsis is a made-up word that means ‘Time Sickness,’ “ vocalist Jake Woodruff says of the record and offering insight to its conceptual qualities. “Taking 'ellapsed' and making it sound like a disease. Each song explores how time can multiply pain, over years and generations. Time and decay weave the whole thing together.”
The group also released an EP last year on Skeletal Lightning.
