Formed furing pandemic lockdowns, DeadFinger just released its debut album this week. The band features Daniel Kubinski (Die Kreuzen) and Dwain Flowers (FuckFace), rehearsing regularly with a plastic divider between members.
Ultimately it led to Ghosts, with nine original original and nine covers, including new takes on the works of Patti Smith, David Bowie, Hüsker Dü, and more.
Flowers describes the album as "[A] backwaters, Louisiana swamp, stomper.” The duo is already at work on a follow-up, as well, to be titled Black Heart and due out next year.
Ghosts is available now via Spectrogram Records.
