Don Giovanni Records has announced the Oct. 14 release of a self-titled album from Michigan punk group She/Her/Hers.
The project initially began as a solo folk-punk endeavor from Emma Grrl documenting her coming out as a transgender woman.
Over time, the project has grown into a full band, on display in the new record which maintains the raw emotional element of folk-punk while adding broader sounds akin to chamber pop. The making of the record with the full band also provides new perspective, with Grrl revisiting material that was originally intended as a snapshot of a specific point in time.
