Toilet Rats' IV is on its way, coming March 3 on cassette (Steadfast Records).

The Minneapolis, MN project comes from Tommy Ratz, a grimy punk-ish release built on synthesizers. "Oskar and Eli," one of the singles from the record, debuted earlier today. Ratz is a pseudonym of course, for musician Thomas Rehbein (Naive Sense, Farewell Continental, Robosapien, Small Towns Burn A Little Slower), and producer (Justin Courtney Pierre). As a whole, the synth punk project pulls from diverse influences ranging from Jawbreaker to DEVO to Lard and Powerplant, built on sci-fi elements.

"Oskar and Eli" also features guest vocals from Pumpking Guts.
