Maple Stave, of Durham, NC, is celebrating their twentieth year as a band. The group has announced an upcoming new record in conjunction with the milestone: a new record titled Arguments, out August 1.

The album was recorded at Electrical Audio with Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City, Sumac, Sleep) engineering and mixing. Argument explores a variety of sounds, connected by complex but patient structures with dynamic loud/soft/heavy/melodic shifts.

It is the band's first new recording in seven years and features the addition of bassist Chris Rasmussen, who joined in 2019.

Preorders begin July 1.
