In our second post this week featuring former members of Mineral, a new indie rock trio called Suburban Eyes has shared a single and announced their debut. The band features members of Mineral, Christie Front Drive, and Boys Life and they will release a self-titled record on August 30 on Spartan Records.
The lineup features Eric Richter (Christie Front Drive, Antarctica), Jeremy Gomez (Mineral, The Gloria Record), and John Anderson (Boys Life), all playing the circuit since the 1990s. Their debut is nine songs long, including lead single, "Headlight Torches."
“The band really came at a perfect time for me,” Gomez says in a press release. “Aside from not really being able to do much of anything because of what was happening in 2020, musically I didn’t have anything going on either so I jumped at the chance to try something new. It just feels really great to have rekindled my friendships with John and Eric, and to be able to create this collection of songs as effortlessly as we did. I haven’t been this creatively satisfied in a long time.”
