High End Denim Records just teamed up with Banff punk band Regal Foul on a new two song EP, Eyes, featuring new tracks "Night Owl" and "Eyes on the Horizon."
Mitch McCallum of the band says:
"Eyes on the Horizon" and "Night Owl" are so identical it’s not even funny. Much like the struggle of everyday life. Sometimes it seems like you’re running in circles, although time passes you find yourself in the same situation, making the same mistakes with the same people trying to help you.
These two songs touch on the struggles of addiction in the form of an ongoing, never ending conversation. From both the eyes of the one struggling and the one trying to help it can feel like the same story repeating itself. It’s hard on both the victim of addiction and their support systems doing whatever they can, sometimes in vain. Addiction is hard, painful, and very often frustrating. If you or someone you know is struggling don’t be afraid to spark up a conversation, even if it seems monotonous it could be monumental.
