Cleopatra Records recently announced Night of the Living Dead Boys, the sixth installment of a Dead Boys archive collection that also includes Ignorance In Action (The Rarities); Live in San Francisco; Return of the Living Dead Boys, Younger, Louder And Snottyer; and Third Generation Nation.
This latest release is a recording of a one-off performance as The Dead Dolls, where the band was joined by John Belushi and Jerry Nolan as fill-in drummers for a live show at CBGBs to raise funds following the hospitalization of regular drummer Johnny Blitz .
The set balanced Dead Boys and New York Dolls material.
Cleopatra will release a new Dead Boys album in 2025, which has garnered its own controversy with a last minute lineup change.
