As is the pattern in 2025, the Jesus Lizard has announced a new EP following a string of digital-only singles. The new Flux Out EP will release on April 12 (Record Store Day) via Ipecac Recordings, a 3-song limited release.

The latest single is "I'm Tired of Being Your Mother," a brutal concept that David Yow explains by saying, "When a friend of mine was about eight years old, living outside of New Orleans, his mother once said to him, in a slow, dull drawl, 'Im tired uh bein' yo mutha'...That really struck me. The lyrics are actual quotes of awful things mothers have said to their children. Heartbreaking!!"

The band revived an active schedule and released Rack last year.
