Oxbow and Love's Holiday coming up

Posted in Records on April 23, 2023

Ipecac Recordings will release Love's Holiday, a new full-length from Oxbox, on July 21. The new record includes 10 songs in total and is their first new music in six years. "1000 Hours," the first single, is shared below. The track also features Roger Joseph Manning Jr. (Jellyfish/Beck).

“The music was chiefly inspired by and written for my family. We’ve had two children born and my father die while writing and working on this record,” says guitarist Niko Wenner. “The songs are just a collection of music that I sang to my babies and then wrote guitar parts for, and brought to the band as, OXBOW songs.”

“I’ve always been chagrined that no one understood that our songs were love songs,” adds vocalist/lyricist Eugene Robinson.

Love's Holiday will release on vinyl, cd, and digitally.
