Aidan Baker and Jussi Lehtisalo have a new collaboration out next month. The project is called Baker ja Lehtisalo and the album is titled Crocodile Tears. It will release on Dec. 9 via Broke Spine Productions and Ektro Records.
The project began in early 2020, with the two artists trading sounds online, building into the heavy/noisy/shoegaze/industrial sound. we have today on the lead single "Racing After Midnight." The full album contains five songs, described as "channeling the perhaps unlikely pairing of Godflesh and Jan Hammer, electronic pop and pretty melodies mixed with textural guitars and heavy metal riffs."
Lehitsalo is a founder of Circle, and has also played with or collaborated with Pharaoh Overlord, Steel Mammoth, Aktor, Split Cranium, and more. Baker often performs solo, as well as in Nadja and other projects.
Crocodile Tears will release on cd and digital formats.
