At Scene Point Blank, we’re always interested in how art is made. With COVID-19 restrictions, there are obviously a ton of changes to how bands are approaching their business in 2020. Today we share an exclusive video director’s commentary discussing “AR-15” from Cinemartyr.
The band will self-release Death Of The First Person, its fifth full-length, on July 24.
Check out Shane Harrington’s commentary here:
The band has covered many styles on their five albums. When composer Harrington formed the band, it was initially inspired more by film scores than contemporary pop music (and first went by the name of OST). On Death Of The First Person, the four-piece band embraces a primal, noise-rock sound thanks in part to contributions from members Harrington (vocals, guitars), Amber Moon Voltson (vocals, guitars), Aaron CT (bass), and David Goldman (drums).

It originally debuted at Punknews.
And, for added value, the band is selling a limited edition “Blood/Piss/Cum bundle” along with the digital release of the record. For those who want the, um, full experience, we’ll use their own selling points:
Each pack will include “one vial of fluid extracted from the artist’s body, front and rear album art prints signed, numbered, and dated by the artist, hard copy, ink printed Death Of The First Person zine, flash drive containing all ten tracks from the album in various formats, a signed letter from the artist, and digital download codes.” Each of the packages will have a different body fluid.
