Everybody's original 2020 plans changed. For Danny Elfman, ex-Oingo Boingo and probably better known for film scores such as The Nightmare Before Christmas and Edward Scissorhands, was set to play at Coachella and signed to ANTI-/Epitaph, which inspired a return to rock songwriting.

He previously shared "Happy," and now comes "Sorry," with a video animated by Jesse Kanda (Arca, FKA Twigs, Bjork).

“'Sorry' was the first song I’ve written for myself in a long time,” Elfman says in a statement. “It began as an obsessive choral-chant instrumental work, which at the time I called ‘alien orchestral chamber punk’ and evolved slowly into a song. I was surprised by the amount of rage I'd been storing inside myself which came bursting out as soon as I applied my voice.”

"Sorry" kicks off plans for Elfman to share a new song on the 11th of each month this year, a nod to his surname Elfman -- "Elf" meaning "eleven" in German.
