“Whole world’s coming to an end, Mal.” Shit, that was back in ‘94, but it seems more relevant today than ever. Wildfires, hurricanes, this mess that we call politics. Doom and gloom may be the order of the day, but things are looking up in other areas. For instance, there are organizations like Produced By a Girl, who we've previously had an 1QI with and whose aim is to shine more light on females in the music business. We’re premiering a video below from an artist they’re promoting.
The Waking Point is an epic rock group formed by Sadie Belica who expanded the project out in the last year to include Alex Springs on lead guitar, Carl Jester Buena on bass, and Cody John Clark on drums. The band’s debut album, The Enemy of Love, will be out later this year.
In talking to Belica, she offered up this quote from Hans Zimmer: “If somebody tells you there’s a rule, break it. That's the only thing that moves things forward.” Can’t argue with that. Maybe we need more rule-breakers these days...
