Wrong Odds, a new deo featuring Adrien Idiot and Dale Carmichael, has shared their first song, described as a distillation of life during a pandemic and recorded this January in Thunder Bay, ON.
The members have played together in other bands, dating back to 2011, including Primate Patrol, I.R. Idiot, Twisted Limbs, Cold Shakes, and Fist Fight with Gandhi), and features Idiot on guitar/vocals and Carmichael on bass and drums.
Check out "Psycho" below, which is also available on streaming platforms since last Friday, Feb. 25.
Adrien Idiot explains:
Psycho is sort of horror themed and our follow-up songs will continue to dive into those dark themes, but we also have another side that is a bit more aggressive and focuses on identity, relationships, and our personal experience. The pandemic has been hard on everyone but it has been exacerbated by selfish assholes and narcissists. We started this band in the midst of the lockdowns and so we’ve written all of our music in weird times. Our next round of songs are anthems that reject society's male far right bullshit.
The band plans to release its first set of songs as digital singles, followed by an EP. They also share that Primate Patrol will release a 10-song album later in 2022.
