Last week we announced a new O-D-EX, the razor sharp, digitally focused project of Mark Ryan (The Marked Men, Mind Spiders, Radioactivity), and Micah Why (Kitbashes, Mission Giant, Faux Fox). The band has a limited edition 7" out Nov. 15 called My Pleasure, releasing on Dirtnap Records. The first single was the title track (watch the video here).
Today we're back with the flip side of the wax, "Save/Buy," and its video below.
"The song was formed by hastily recorded machines with the hope that certain qualities of fleeting sounds could be captured," O-D-EX tells us. "The video was made with a similar urgency when it was discovered that the camera was dying. The tragedy was only compounded through the choice of its final observation. The existence of a lonely static scene during a party happening just out of frame."
Nothing on this record is by accident, and just like Sides A and B compliment one another, so do the songs and their respective videos.
