You!

I cast you out!

Your mother darns socks in Hell!

Your mother is here.

Would you like to leave a message?

I’ll see that she gets it!

I adorn my Crucifix on my horsehair and lath wall and point the saviors head north but inevitably it is forced southward by entities not known to play friendly. Blood drips from perceived wounds. Stivmata? Catholic Boy?/Stigmata.

The power of parallel-two straight rails reaming, remodeled, reacting to infinity to the bottomless pits of searing, unsanctified blistering, boiling, bubbling, raging devil prongs. Stabbing the steely scepter over and over until time drips from the watch face. Drip, drop Pitter, Patter, and phase out.
Reagan/Regan …conspiracy theorists convulse. Suicidal tendencies shot the Devil. Repeated images over and over in live broadcasts of what seemed like an eternity. The revenge of Bonzo.

Georgia, Geoooorgia. I have Georgia on my mind. Rising from the South in the year of our Lord -1983. Outsider kids rejoice, hold hands, move over Kumbaya. Look to the sky and praise “Parental Suppression” It is the knife that cuts so deep as it is the Death they’ll give you. Doom

1986 R.I.P. To arise and metamorphosize. Scraping the tomb, scratching, clawing like Alice breaking the chains. Yes, it rears its ugly head pulsating, pummeling rapid burst of staccato the way it was meant to be. Straight from the blackened heart raging cerebral strokes of light patterns. Screams from the gut(ter) intensity in pats of butter shrouds of Turin imagery. Captured in time for future generations to decipher, depict, dissect and declare.
Neon Christ has risen from the dead.

Deseos Primitivos

Lineas de Muerte
Shadowplay Records (2025)

Some reviews are written after years of listening to a band and knowing nearly everything about them. Sometimes I listen to a record on repeat for weeks before I even look up the correct song titles – Deseos Primitivos (Primitive Desires) is the latter. This promo came to SPB as literally a one sentence quote about the band and its … Read more

The Men

Buyer Beware
Fuzz Club Records (2025)

I wanna say the first time I heard Brooklyn NY’s The Men was back in 2010, ironically around the time I moved back to Vancouver, Canada from Brooklyn. I don’t recall having seen or heard of them when I lived there but that is not surprising. One of the reasons I moved back was that I wasn't going out much. … Read more

Detention

Dead Rock ‘N’ Rollers
Left For Dead Records (2024)

Life ain’t so easy in the detention home- Dead Boys. Emerging from the underbelly of Jersey, made up primarily of three brethren. Raised on rock and roll and sipping from the chalice of early punk rock stalwarts like Da Bruddahs from Queens, Hey Ho! and the Pistoleros of Sexual Nature screaming banshees from across from the large pond. Thus forging … Read more
