Skinless announces 'classic' line-up reunion show

Posted in Bands on April 15, 2010

Official press release: Skinless' classic line-up of Sherwood Webber (vocals), Noah Carpenter (guitars), Joe Keyser (bass), and Bob Beaulac (drums) will re-unite for a special one-off show on June 19th at Northern Lights in Clifton Park, NY. This is the line-up featured on the band's Progression Towards Evil and Foreshadowing Our Demise albums. Co-headlining this show will be Burning Human, featuring Jason Bittner of Shadows Fall, with tickets for the event going on sale tomorrow, April 16th. For more information, please visit NorthernLightsLive.com and StepUpPresents.com. "I don't know exactly how it came about or where it's going but Skinless will be playing a killer show with the classic lineup...," commented Webber, "I don't know how to describe the Upstate, New York scene accurately to the outsider but those who lived it know exactly what I'm talking about. Any of the NYHC and death metal bands can tell you how insane the scene was in the late '90s. Troy-core, death metal, hardcore, straight edge bands -- all friends, all purveyors of different styles with the common ground of the scene. Ted Etoll [Step Up Presents] was largely responsible for promoting and developing tons of bands and Skinless was one of them. He's been a long time friend, mentor and brother and I look forward to the show with huge excitement. It's going to rule. I'm also exited to rejoin my Skinless brothers for a show with our long time friends Burning Human. The Upstate Scene is like no other on the planet and to return for a sick show like this is a dream come true! Definitely some cataclysmic metal events on the horizon!" Skinless released their latest album, Trample The Weak, Hurdle The Dead in 2006. Webber, who currently resides in Colorado, has been hard at work with his new band Enemy Reign (EnemyReign.com). Carpenter is also involved in a new project called Armor Column (MySpace.com/ArmorColumnNY).
