New from Laura Stevenson

Posted in Records on June 8, 2021

We bring news of a new Laura Stevenson self-titled record, due on August 6 courtesy of Don Giovanni Records.

The record follows 2019's well-received The Big Freeze, and soars with triumph and tribulation from events and personal experiences in the two+ years since.

Via press release, Stevenson explains: "The album was written as a sort of purge and a prayer," then recorded later. "It was a very intense experience to re-live all of the events of the previous year, while tracking these songs, with my daughter growing inside me, reliving all of that fear and pain and just wanting to protect her from the world that much more. It made me very raw.”

Listen to the new single, "State," below and check out a few upcoming live dates with Lucy Dacus or Adult Mom.
