What band did you discover in 2010 (can be a brand new band or an older band) that had an impact on your life? What made them significant?
Fix My Head from San Franscisco. In Defence toured the west coast this summer and we did northern California with Fix My Head. The band has a very tight, very fast style of playing. They remind me of Limp Wrist. And they are rad dudes who totally hooked it up for us in the bay area and made sure we were taken care of.
How will you remember 2010? (In terms of music)
With more and more bands switching to digital methods of releasing music and communicating with audiences in 2010, do you think there's still a place for physical CDs and word-of-mouth shows in the future?
I will remember 2010 as the year glen Danzig listened to the In Defence lp. When we were in LA we stayed with his tour manager who wanted to get us on the Blackest of the Black tour with Danzig. He set up a meeting with Glen and played our record for him. I guess Danzig said he liked it but there were bigger bands with professional represention who had dibs on the tour. We didn't make the cut but Danzig listened to our band.
